The Emmy

I've been doing computer related side jobs every once in awhile to earn some extra cash. This past weekend, I made a house call to fix some personal computers. I'm trying not to give away their names for discretion reasons, but the people I helped out worked on Bill Nye the Science Guy. I've probably seen just about every episode of that show from when I was younger watching it on TV and in school. The show was mostly filmed here in Seattle with KCTS and Buena Vista Television producing.

Well, while fixing one of their computers, I glanced upon a shelf with 11 Emmy Awards sitting on it. Seeing one Emmy in real life is amazing on its own, but seeing 11 was a totally different thing! I was amazed. I asked if I could take a picture of their awards, which they agreed to. They even let me hold one! I was expecting them to be super heavy since that's what you always hear recipients say on TV, but it was lighter than I thought. Still, impressive.

11 freakin' Emmys!

"I'd like to thank my wonderful wife, and my daughter. I'd also like to thank all my fans who stuck with me. And of course, I'd like to thank the Academy."

Close up of the biggest award of the bunch. I blacked out all the names and titles to protect the innocent... or guilty. Whatever.

To win an award like that, or an Oscar would definitely be one of my ultimate dreams.
