Wanted to quickly share the car icon we use on our TomTom GPS system in our van. Yep, Mario Kart FTW!
Bethany delivered her first wedding cake that she's done by herself. The bride and groom ordered the paisley shape with different fillings and I think Bethany did great.
Took Juliana to Steel Lake Park last weekend to let her burn off some energy. Lord knows that she's got lots of it. Took a panorama shot of the lake and park. The original can be zoomed in on much more.
There's a little pier that you can walk down, but seeing as how the playground was always in view, Julie didn't particularly care for it.
I did manage to get her to crack a smile though.
You can swim here in the summertime, which a lot of people in the area do. My friends and I used to sneak into the park at night and go swimming.
The playground at Steel Lake Park is pretty awesome. It's big and has a variety of things to do. Used to love playing hot lava monster here.
Julie seems to have no problems making friends with other kids whenever she goes to playgrounds or play areas. Some welcome the invitations to play, but every one in a while you see a rejection and Julie always stands there looking so confused. It's adorable.
There was a playground almost exactly like this one in Annapolis, Maryland that my mom used to take me to when I was a young lad. I loved it.
Had some fun with light sticks and long exposure shots with Julie. Thought this one turned out kind of neat. Love that bit of gold somehow shooting up on the right side.
Doing this reminds me of 2001: A Space Odyssey for some reason.
The second floor of my building at work is finally done and it looks great. Here are some after shots of some of the areas. The before shots can be seen in the 9/9/11 Foto Friday and I encourage you to look at those to get an idea of how much things changed. This is the new break area.
One of the new hallways at work. It's secured because there's a group with sensitive content back there, but it looks nice. Rumor has it that Microsoft will be reorganizing and cutting some jobs under their marketing division. Guess where I fall under? That's right... marketing. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next month or so.
Here's our new upstairs meeting room. It will eventually have dividers so that you can make two rooms if you want. To see more pictures from my work, Steel Lake, or Bethany's wedding cake, view the full set.
