Skiing video and pictures from Crystal

My dad and I went up to Crystal Mountain last weekend for some skiing. The snow was pretty good, but a little icy in places. Better than we thought it was going to be.

My dad brought his camera and we took some video of us skiing. Even got a shot of me doing a little jump. See the video I edited below.

As you can tell, I'm still not very good at editing videos. We have tons of software at work that I can use like Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Premiere, but I am too lazy to learn how to use them and end up using Vista's free Windows Movie Maker. It's basic and simple. One day, I will load a professional video editing program on one of my computers in my office and will masterfully edit some movies. For now, you'll just have to enjoy the above video.

I did manage to publish it in HD, so if you go to the YouTube page for the video and click on "Watch in HD", you will be able to view it as so. However, since the original source footage was only SD on a small digital camera, most of it is not converted.

Other than that, we snapped a few solid photos. Enjoy.

Me at the top of the Rainier Express lift looking out at Mount Rainier.

Headed down Lucky Shot.

This guy yelled at me three times for going too fast. I told him his mom goes to college. Just kidding... I obey the rules of the slopes.

Chillin' in the Campbell Basin lodge during lunch.

My dad out front of the lodge.

Do you ski, snowboard, or fall? Helmets used to be really nerdy, but now you see about 80% of people wearing them. They do make the sport a little bit safer. Do you wear a helmet when you go up to the slopes?
