Foto Friday - 1/1/10

This is my fifteenth Foto Friday post. Starting the new year right with some photos. Pictures in the set are mostly from family Christmas and New Year's celebrations. Full set with all 83 pictures can be viewed here. And, as always, you can click to enlarge these pictures.

Holly in the middle of my parents' dinner table on Christmas Eve. This year, my parents hosted all of us at their house for dinner and opening some gifts.

Crackers, cheese, and salami. Yum!

My dad has a couple strands of Christmas lights that you can wear. Here is Julie wearing some.

Joyce got Jelly these funny Christmas pajamas.

My parents gave me this old Tintin wristwatch that I used to have, but thought I had lost until now. They originally bought it for me when I was about 11 years old. A friend of mine introduced me to the comic book series. Looking forward to the movie in 2011.

Our families on Christmas Eve.

Juliana with her two grandmas. She calls my mom "Nai-Nai" (Chinese for "grandmother") and Bethany's mom "Gee-Ma".

Bethany and I bought this play kitchen for Juliana for Christmas. It is very cute. She was so excited when she saw it Christmas morning that she was jumping up and down. I got video of it and I'll hopefully post it one day.

After opening gifts at our house, we went over to Keith and Joyce's for breakfast and to open more presents. Joyce got Juliana this cute blanket.

When Julie would open her new jewelry music box, she would get really excited and put her hand to her cheek.

After Christmas dinner at Bethany's parents', we went to my Aunt Jenny and Uncle Dennis' house for dessert. My dad made this nice white cake.

My cousins' pet dog, Yoshi.

Julie in her Christmas dress.

My uncle's guitar in front of the fireplace.

Different colors of flames at the fireplace.

The living room of my aunt and uncle's with their Christmas tree and fireplace.

My extended family on Christmas Day.

Juliana in her winter coat and hat.

Last Sunday, Brian and Kristy held a small party for Joel, Katie, and Copeland since they were in town for the holidays from Mesa, AZ. Juliana flirted with Copeland all night giving him kisses and stroking his face.

Copeland looking through the crowd of people.

Copeland and Bethany. I held him for a little while and tried to remind myself that Juliana was once that light.

We played Beatles Rock Band at the party.

Bethany and Heather made this awesome cake for New Year's. It had a real miniature Martinelli's sparkling cider bottle coming out of it with crystallized sugar that looked like ice and lots of fondant stars and icing. Here is Heather piping icing on it.

The final look of the cake. We put some sparklers in it and lit them up right when we hit 2010. The inside was devil's food with chocolate ganache and white chocolate mousse. It tasted just as good as it looked. I think it was their best cake yet!

We set off sparklers outside after midnight and toasted with champagne. A good New Year's party indeed. To see more pictures from our New Year's Eve party and Christmas, see the full set.

  1. Hi! I would vey much like to use your most beautiful picture of your uncle's guitar in front of the fireplace for a cover of a song on youtube (noncommercial). Would that be ok?
