Went to the playground at Russell Road Park with Jason, Molly, and James.
I love this picture of James. It looks like he is nodding his head and going "Sup!?"
Julie starting to run back to the stairs so she can go down the slide again. She looks like The Flash here.
Two weekends ago, we went down to Lacey to fulfill a Groupon we bought to make 12 bottles of your own wine at Classic Winemakers.
After a lot of tasting, we landed on a peach apricot chardonnay. I'm not the biggest wine drinker in the world, but this tasted great. Reminded me of a sangria, except less sweet and more dry.
Stirring up our batch of wine. Sorry for the yellow tint; the lights in the room were orange.
My good friend Carlos sent me a few cup noodles (or as the Brits call them, "pot noodles") from England that you can't buy here in the States. I originally asked him to send me the David Beckham noodles for me to review on my Noodle Blog, but it looks like it's either not out yet, or they've ditched the idea. Looks for my reviews on these exclusive flavors soon.
We went into downtown Kent to visit the Farmers Market. We haven't gone all summer, so we figured we should get down there while the weather is nice and it's still going.
The only thing we bought was some pasta from Pappardelle's. They specialize in making unique dry pasta. We got some garlic chive seashells.
At Children's Bookshop & Teaching Supplies, you can get all sorts of educational material for kids. We bought Juliana a magnetic puzzle map of the United States and she is learning quite well, so far. For example, I'll ask her where she was born. She'll point to Texas, then say it, and then put it on the right spot on the map. Genius girl right here.
The carousel was open during the Farmers Market, so Bethany took a very happy Juliana on it.
After the market, we went to Windmill Gardens in Sumner to deliver a wedding cake. While Bethany and Heather were setting it up, I walked around with Julie and snapped some photos of the area. It's all done up really nice.
A fake alligator resting in a pond at the garden.
Here is Bethany and Heather's latest wedding cake and I think it's their last for a little while. It's really nice, but I liked their last one more.
The gals also received a request for a UW Huskies-themed groom's cake. They made a football field cake and used the popular groom running from the bride cake topper to make it look like he was running for a touchdown while she is trying to catch him. Notice the fondant football jerseys. She's a WSU Cougars fan.
To celebrate, we went to Sonic Drive-in. Man I love their drinks!
After dinner, we took Juliana to Rainier View Park in Sumner to let her burn some energy. I shot through this hole that's in a bench at the park.
Juliana loves riding things that spin. I can barely tolerate them. I'm more of an up and down roller coaster type of guy. I hope Julie is both.

We decided to treat ourselves to an ice cream shake at Dairy Freeze, which is the town's popular old fashioned diner. Julie was making funny faces.
I always write down Julie's opinion on noodles when I review them and I always try to get a picture of her reaction. Could you tell she didn't like this one? Here is what I think is going on in her mind in each frame: 1. "What is this odd concoction that you have placed before me?" 2. "It tastes kind of weird." 3. "I don't like it! I don't like it!" 4. "My give up."
Can I get a WHAT WHAT for Pocky!? No? Fine. View the full set with more playground, wine, and cake pictures.
