1,000th Blog Post!

This marks my 1,000 entry that I've made on this blog. It has really come a long way. Literally. I remember starting this thing at my desk at the USAFE NOSC in Ramstein AB, Germany. My first post on November 9th, 2005 was about going to the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire premiere in Paris, France where I got to see Daniel Radcliffe and Clémence Poésy. My gosh... Goblet of Fire. And, what... we have Deathly Hallows Part I coming out this Friday! Where has the time gone?

One thing that I've done every year since the first year of this blog was a Top Ten, Bottom Ten, and Most Anticipated Movies of the Year list. I've been a movie fanatic ever since I worked at AMC Theatres back in high school, so I love doing these. In fact, I love making lists in general. You can find my movie lists and a whole bunch of other lists in this tag.

My YouTubesdays and Ask Cams bring in lots of hits, so I'll keep going those. Foto Friday has been good, too, but more so on Flickr than here.

I love traveling. Besides God and my family, it is my greatest love. This blog has seen us go from Germany to France, to England, to Luxembourg, to Italy, to Belgium, to Amsterdam, to Texas, to Hawaii, to Florida, to Washington D.C., to Portland, to California, to Seattle, and more. You can view pictures from all the places I've been since '05 under the "My Photo Galleries" section on the right.

Here are a couple of my favorite posts I'd like to share with any readers who haven't been with me the entire time:

Now, to keep my 1,000th post memorable, I want to talk about something significant. Something really significant. I've decided to give facts about a subject that impacts us all: Farting.

  • The average person farts 14 times per day.
  • The average person produces half a liter of fart gas per day.
  • Farts come out of your butt at 7 miles per hour.
  • Termites are the most gaseous creatures on Earth as they produce more methane than cows and even all man-made polluting machinery.
  • A person can still fart after death.
  • Beans do indeed make you toot more because of certain polysaccharides being fed on by bacteria and producing a lot of flatus.

Here's to another 1,000 posts just like this!
