Foto Friday - 12/17/10

This is my fortieth Foto Friday post. The pictures today are from Seattle, a birthday party, and cakes. Full set with all 26 photos can be viewed here. And, as always, you can click to enlarge these pictures.

Went to Harry Potter: The Exhibition two weekends ago with Bethany and Tawnya. It's this traveling exhibition where you get to see the iconic props and costumes that appeared throughout the Harry Potter films. It was a neat experience since we're all big Harry Potter fans.

Crossing Denny Way to get to the exhibition. The exhibition is set up at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle Center.

They do not allow you to take any pictures inside the exhibition, which I think is really stupid. I think it's dumb altogether for any place or event to not allow photography. To me, letting people take pictures is a form of free advertising. Especially these days where people can use their camera phones and immediately upload photos online. And don't tell me it's because of camera flash because that can easily be turned off.

So, sorry, no pictures of the stuff inside. But here are pictures of the outside of the science center. Not as exciting, I know. The exhibition's website has some photos on it.

Hallway at the Pacific Science Center.

Last weekend, we went to my cousin, RaeAnne's, birthday party which took place at 3-2-1 Bounce in Bellevue. It's a giant inflatable playground for kids (and maybe adults, too). Here, the kids are watching the safety video.

Julie had a great time and was never able to make her mind up on which inflatable she wanted to try next. Here is a tall double slide one that she is climbing with RaeAnne.

The great thing about this place is that adults are allowed on all of the toys except one. So, Bethany and I were able to accompany Julie on some of the bigger inflatables. It was like being a kid again.

About to catch up with Julie by climbing through this tunnel.

There were a lot of kids at the party, but most of them were older than Juliana. RaeAnne is sweet though and played with her a bit.

Bethany made Rae-Rae a Spongebob cake. She has made one before, but I believe she improved.

Ready to blow out her candles.

Bethany also made this cake for Beth's baby shower. I think it's pretty cool. To see more of her cakes, the birthday party, and around the Pacific Science Center, view the full set.
