We had part of our stages redone at Microsoft Studios. We are reaching out more to external clients and revamped our website. Check it out! The Dec 2010 Reel shows all the cool content we worked on last month. And if you haven't seen the Virtual Tour video of my work yet, check that out, too. If you need to shoot a professional video, come visit us! Unless you are from Apple.
We had a little Christmas party at work a couple days before the holiday. Love when co-workers loosen up and just have a good time. I love my work.
Cara, a co-worker of mine, played with Julie a lot. She was obsessed with getting as much fake snow on the tree as possible. =3
Juliana was so excited to open her presents Christmas morning. She has a much better idea about the whole concept. We ended up buying her a toy shopping cart and check-out stand since she had so much fun playing in the grocery store area of the Portland Children's Museum.
After opening a couple presents at home, we went to Bethany's parents' for more. We also had a great breakfast, which always includes Bethany's yummy cinnamon rolls.
Some of my haul. Also got Kirby's Epic Yarn for the Wii and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for PS3. As much as I love playing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", Huey Lewis and the News' "The Power of Love", and Phoenix's "Lasso" on Rock Band 3, I think the makers captured the fun of playing Paramore's "Misery Business" the best. Much better than on Guitar Hero 4.
Went to my aunt and uncle's for Christmas dinner. My dad dressed up in his Army dress blues.
Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing Christmas.
Took Juliana up to downtown Seattle last Monday since we hadn't gone up there in a while and I don't get too many weekdays off where most people are working. Took the light rail, of course. We like to take the light rail for many reasons: 1) It's free because of my ORCA card that I get from Microsoft (in the picture above). 2) Don't have to worry about parking downtown. 3) Juliana likes it.
My pretty girl waiting for the light rail.
Got out at the International District/Chinatown station and immediately got lunch at Samurai Noodle. Very yummy.
Been craving a milk tea with pearl from Oasis Tea Zone for a while now and finally got a strawberry one. Not really the weather for it, but tasty nonetheless.
Went up to Westlake station and decided to catch a movie at Pacific Place. Julie wanted to see Yogi Bear, but the start time was too far away, so we saw Tangled again. This time we saw it in 3D. Pretty darn good. One of the better 3D films of the year. Really loved the part with the lanterns. My full review of it can be read here. Snapped this shot of Seattle streets at night as we headed home. To see more pictures from our Seattle trip or Christmas, please view the full set.

Two things:
ReplyDelete1) Glad you got Rock Band 3. The real goodness starts when you realise what DLC is available (RHCP - Under the Bridge, Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues, Oasis - Wonderwall (!) among many others)
2) Seattle looks so beautiful, again! I MUST visit one of these days, I know I'd love it...
1) I think I've downloaded 12 DLC songs. I currently have:
ReplyDeleteThe Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch
The Silversun Pickups - Melatonin
The Silversun Pickups - Sort of (I really like the SSPs.)
Oasis - Wonderwall
Blink-182 - Adam's Song
Blink-182 - I Miss You
Underoath - Reinventing Your Exit
Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood
The All-American Rejects - Move Along
Phoenix - 1901
Lady Gaga - Poker Face (Yes, I bought this.)
Jimmy Eat World - Sweetness
And I plan on buying Linkin Park's "Crawling" and "In the End" soon. Hmmm... maybe right now.
2) I know you and Courtney would just love Seattle. You have a place to stay whenever you finally decide to make the hop, skip, and a jump over. =)
