Foto Friday - 3/23/12

This is my sixty-ninth Foto Friday post. The pictures today are from a brief trip to Seattle. Full set with all 8 photos can be viewed here.

A couple weeks ago, a friend of Randy's came to visit Microsoft for lunch. If you remember, Randy used to play in a bunch of bands and so he knows a lot of people. Well, the guy pictured with me here is Christian McAlhaney, one of the two guitarists from the band Anberlin. He was also in one of my favorite bands, Acceptance, but they have been broken up for over five years now. Nice guy and really interesting to talk to. New Anberlin album should be coming out later this year!

It's been a long time since Julie and I have taken a ride on the light rail up to Seattle, so two weekends ago, we did just that. Winter is filled with lots of cold, rain, and snow here, so we don't often get outside. It still rained this day, but we suffered through it. Worth it because we love Seattle.

Here is Westlake Park across from Westlake Center. The weather has been really bumming me out lately. Every weekend has rained all day. Hence why there are only eight pictures in this Foto Friday. Have lots of ideas and locations for new photos that I'd like to do. So far, this weekend looks nice, but my schedule is already jam packed with other things going on.

Ridership on the light rail seems to be the same. Here are the automated ticket stations you can use to buy a ticket if you don't have an ORCA card. They check the trains 50% of the time I've ridden, so it's worth it instead of getting a ticket.

Julie and I kind of wandered around our usual spots. Chinatown, Westlake, Pacific Place, etc.

We eventually found the toy store in Pacific Place and spent a good deal of time there. Everything is really expensive though.

We ate at Pike Place Chowder, which is really good, but again, expensive.

Overall, a fun trip, but one that would be much more enjoyable if it STOPPED RAINING!!!
