This is my one hundred and sixth Foto Phriday post. I know it has been forever since my last FPh post, but hopefully all these pics will make up for it. The pictures today are from Christmas, a concert, cherry blossoms, and Coral's birthday. Full set with all 105 photos can be viewed here.
We celebrated Dashle's birthday back in late October. We would have celebrated at the same time as his twin sister there, but he had to spend some time in the hospital. =( But check out those cool Lego cupcakes!
We only experienced snow one time here in the northwest this winter season and that was back in November. There wasn't much of it, but there was lots of cuteness after bundling up Coral.
The snow was very pretty hanging onto the branches of our crabapple tree.
Juliana got to jump around at an indoor trampoline park for my cousin's birthday party in December.
We all put on some matching pajamas on Christmas Eve and had dinner at Bethany's parents'.
On Christmas Day, after opening presents, we went to my aunt and uncle's place for a nice dinner.
We had a warm winter, so in January, we went over to Lake Wilderness in Maple Valley and fed the ducks.
Coral enjoyed playing at the playground there.
Her and Juliana also enjoyed walking and balancing on these little pillars.
Went to Barboza in Seattle to watch my friend Randy play a concert with his band NYVES. Never been to the venue before. It's small, but has a certain charm to it.
NYVES is the project between Randy and lead vocalist of Demon Hunter, Ryan Clark. I've listened to their album already and it is great. Should be coming out soon.
Here is Randy doing his thing on the keyboard. The music definitely has a Daft Punk via Tron: Legacy soundtrack vibe to it.
On the Friday following the second Tuesday of every month, I go into work late to perform some scheduled updates and maintenance on systems at work. This gives me a chance to sleep in and have lunch with the family sometimes. In March, we drove to Renton and ate under the cherry blossom trees along the Cedar River.
It was absolutely gorgeous and a great way to spend my day before work.
I definitely thought about my trip to Japan more than once while checking out the cherry blossoms.
The rest of March and April were filled with convention pictures (which I will share later), so fast forward to just this past weekend where we celebrated Coral's third birthday! We rented out a local park and grilled up some hot dogs.
The party was Minnie Mouse themed, so Bethany made these cute Minnie Mouse Oreo cupcakes which even had her red bow.
Tawnya made these cute Mickey Mouse candy pops.
Coral has her name stitched on the back of her official Minnie Mouse ears.
The weather turned out really nice for her birthday, but there was a covered eating area just in case we had to deal with rain.
Bruce seemed to have a good time.
Bethany made a cute frame to do photos in.
Coral did a good job blowing out her candle and chowing down on her cupcake after. She's usually not a big fan of messy sweets, but this was no problem.
We also had a photo booth where folks could use props and take pictures.
Bethany's family with the birthday girl.
Us.
Bruce, Kristy, and Brian in the photo booth.
My parents in the photo booth.
We ended the party with opening presents. As you can see, we've been staying busy and have a lot of stuff planned for this summer. To see more pictures from any of these events, please view the full set.
