The final trailer for Twilight came out this evening. The more and more I see how they filmed some of the sequences, the more and more my doubts rise about this movie. Still, I'll most likely be in tow with Bethany at the midnight showing. The trailer may get pulled from YouTube later, so I'll try to find another version when it does.
Edit 10/10/08: Yep, it got removed from YouTube because of copyright rules. I've added the official posted trailer.
Well, I just finished reading Twilight (I actually knuckled down and finally read it partly because of your somewhat positive review) and I must say I....LOVED it! Yes, it's a bit mushy and a little bit girly, but goddamn Stephanie Myers can write!
I thought it was really, really good. The narrative was tight, the use of imagery and a little bit of symbolism were spot on and there was no fat in the plot.
The one minor, minor flaw was some of the dialogue. As any literature major will tell you, dialogue is the hardest thing about writing fiction. A few of the popular authors who can't write dialogue to save their lives include Dan Brown, Michael Crichton, James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, Tess Gerritsen, John Grisham, etc., etc. I think Myers for the most part wrote her dialogue very well. There was some clunkiness in some of the exchanges but overall very well-written.
When they discover that James is actually after Bella I really did feel a little unnerved!
Now I can't wait for the movie and to read New Moon. My circle of gayness is complete.

Sweet. I'm glad you liked it! I do find some of her descriptions to be... repetitive. Other than that, I can't really complain too much.
