Monday was our last day in San Diego, so we said goodbye to my grandmother. Here she is with my aunt's dog, Peach. Julie liked playing with Peach a lot.

We had a few hours to spare before needing to get to the airport, so we visit Old Town in San Diego. Old Town commemorates the early days of the city and includes many historic buildings from the period 1820 to 1870.

Cacti found in one store in Old Town. Pretty much all of the buildings have been converted into stores. There is a bunch of neat stuff to look at. I especially liked the candy store. =)

Makes me feel like I'm in the Old West.

Fiesta de Reyes is another area of Old Town that is influenced more by the Mexican culture.

Cacti in front of the Barra Barra Saloon. My parents got dinner for the airplane here.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Old Town, which originally was a hacienda built by Juan Bandidi in 1827. In 1869, Albert Seeley added the second story and opened it as a hotel, saloon, and restaurant. 98% of the building is said to be original.

We got lunch at Chick-fil-a before our flight and I finally got to try the spicy chicken sandwich. It was yummy and I would probably get it often if there was a Chick-fil-a near us. However, I don't think I would get it every time. You don't get to taste as much of the seasonings in the breading as you do in the original.

On the plane back to WA. Juliana watched Ponyo during the flight. She is crazy about that movie. She mimics a lot of the things that happen in the film.

Well, that's it! We had such a good time seeing family, visiting fun places, and eating great food. I already look forward to the next time I can be in California again. Be sure to view the whole set of San Diego Trip pictures as I only posted select pictures on my blog out of the 429 that I uploaded.
