Most of Bethany's side of the family. We went up to Shoreline for the Crista Senior Community Family Picnic. Bethany's grandmother lives up at Crista. It was a pretty large gathering.
After the picnic, we went to Richmond Beach Community Park to celebrate a birthday. It was a pleasant little park. I brought my baseball glove and threw the ball around a bit. Played soccer with the kids, also.
There's this carbonated Japanese drink called Ramune that has you pop a marble in it. Here is the marble sitting in the green apple flavor of it. Will eventually review it on my noodle blog.
Although Bethany and Heather are not taking orders for cakes anymore, they do have a couple more to make that were ordered a long time ago. One of them is this wedding cake they did last weekend. It is easily the best cake they have ever done.
All of the flowers on the cake were handmade by Bethany and Heather using gum paste.
They had two whole BBQ'd pigs at the wedding. Didn't get to try any, but thought it was pretty cool.
Last weekend was Seafair Weekend and we went to my aunt and uncle's to watch the Blue Angels fly around. Always a good time. A little rainy this year, but it didn't ruin the show.
Awesome food including beef, chicken, and shrimp kababs and homemade mac 'n' cheese.
