Foto Phriday - 10/11/13

This is my ninety-seventh Foto Phriday post. The pictures today are from my office, Juliana's birthday, and the Apple Squeeze. Full set with all 48 photos can be viewed here.

My office has gotten a lot more otaku-ish since the last time I showed it on here. As you can see, my figure collection has grown to five, and I have a bunch of posters on my walls. I love being able to decorate my area however I want.

One of my new figures is of Haruno Shiozaki from the anime OVA One Off. Believe it or not, I have actually never seen the show, but I thought the figure looked so darn good that I just had to have it. The show was sponsored by Honda, so the scooter there is a legit replica.

The Nendoroid of Mirai Suenaga is something I got in Japan. I actually bought her at the anime shop in the airport on my way back home. As with all Nendoroids, you can change her face and what she's holding, but I like keeping the Japanese flag up to remind me to keep working hard so I can visit again one day.

My last new figure is another Yui Hirasawa. I already have one of her, but this one has her in the outfit she wore for the Death Devil concert. Even my co-worker said he liked the look of this one. Speaking of K-ON, one of my favorite web music artists, Pogo, made a music video for an original song he made using clips from K-ON.

Juliana's sixth birthday was on October 2nd and she was quite specific about how she wanted to celebrate. She wanted us all to be dressed to the nines and have a fancy spaghetti dinner at our house. So, we invited the family and did just that. It was a great idea and something that we should do more often.

Saturday was the day we had Julie's big party and the weather turned out fantastic, just like last year. We had the party at my parents' house this year.

Her party was My Little Pony themed, so Bethany made this awesome cake for her.

There was face painting available for the kids who wanted a My Little Pony cutie mark on them.

Juliana mostly got My Little Pony and LEGO Friends toys as gifts. She loves them all.

We went to the Steilacoom Apple Squeeze again this year. This time, we were sure to arrive early enough to reserve a time for the apple pressing.

While waiting for our time slot, we wandered around the festival. There was a distillery there where we tried some homemade spirits.

We also hung out at the park for a while.

Coral practiced how she was going to drink all the apple juice.

Bethany spinning Juliana around.

She got dizzy a lot.

These two are just the cutest stinkers ever.

There's a giant wooden swing in the park that we finally got to try. It's always taken up.

Eventually it was our turn to do some apple squeezing, so we went to our spot and started cranking the press. It's a pretty good workout.

Looks at all that fresh juice coming out. It tasted so good. To see more pictures from the Apple Squeeze, Juliana's birthday parties, and my work, view the full set.
