Foto Phriday - 2/21/14

This is my one hundredth Foto Phriday post! The big 1-0-0! It has been nearly a five year journey to get to Foto Phriday #100, including two camera upgrades (The Sony CyberShot to the Panasonic Lumix LX3 to the Canon EOS 5D Mark II), a title change ("Foto Friday" to the much more clever "Foto Phriday"), and a couple new additions to our family (Coral, Luna, and Happy). I was hoping to do something a little different and special for this iteration, but time is against me, my friends. So, what you get is a mish-mash of photos I've taken over the past two months. Yes, that means there will be some Christmas stuff. Sorry it has taken me a while. The pictures today are from a parade, Rae Anne's birthday party, Girl Scouts, Cam-Fu and Friends, Christmas, and New Year's. Full set with all 122 photos can be viewed here.

Kent Station does a Winterfest Parade during the holidays. Juliana is now in the Girl Scouts (with Bethany helping to lead it) and they got to march in the parade dressed as Girl Scout cookies. It also happened to be one of the coldest days we've had in winter.

This was our second year to attend the Santa pancake breakfast that's held in Georgetown. Had a good time, yet again.

I really dig the venue. I would love to hold a party there one day.

The best part of the whole deal is getting your picture taken with a legit Santa without paying ridiculous prices or waiting in long lines. Also, Coral is not on drugs. We swear.

Went to my cousin's bowling birthday party where Juliana bowled for the first time in her life. She was reluctant at first, but quickly grew comfortable with the game and ended up loving it. We've even gone one more time since then.

That's my cousin in the middle with a couple of her friends at the bowling alley.

Opening presents.

Bethany and Juliana had their Girl Scouts investiture ceremony, which went really well. They are a new troop and they already have a bunch of members.

Bethany made these melting snowman cookies for the ceremony. Cute.

The girls had some arts and crafts time after the ceremony.

I decided to try and start up my Cam-Fu and Friends show again. This time we took a more professional approaching to producing the show and I think it turned out better than the first one we did. Here are some of the guys who helped. We made a makeshift dolly to film the walking intro.

This is Kristyona who is my new co-host. She started working at my work over a year ago and I think she has a good sense of humor.

Jason is my producer on the show. He also does dolly work. ;-)

For Christmas Eve, we had all of our family over for cheese and chocolate fondue.

Julie lost both of her top front teeth in December, so for Christmas, all she wanted for Christmas were her two front teeth. It was perfect timing!

Coral was a happy little girl on Christmas Eve.

Coral had a puppy in her stocking on Christmas Day (and some crazy morning hair).

She had a pretty good idea of what to do with the presents.

We went to my parents' for Christmas morning breakfast and opening of more presents.

We got my dad a custom license plate frame to put on his new R-Pod trailer camper.

And we chipped in to help buy my mom and new Surface 2.

Then we went to Bethany's parents' for more presents and Christmas dinner.

Christmas photo with Bethany's side of the family. Again, Coral not high.

We went to downtown Seattle on New Year's to watch the fireworks at the Space Needle. This was our view before the show. Right when the show started, fog rolled in and covered most of the fireworks. We still had a good time though.

This is Mike and Brad talking about Cam-Fu and Friends before we started rolling. We recorded on the stage a couple weeks after the intro we shot earlier.

Our special guest was a guy known as The Ramen Rater, who has appeared on many media outlets around the world. It was cool to have him on and interview him, especially since I had a noodle review site that I used to do. That's all for Foto Phriday #100. Thanks for sticking with us.
