We stayed near Clackamas Town Center, so I got on the light rail from there. See those police officers back there? They hassled me a bit about taking photos at the station and on the train. Probably because I look like a terrorist. Except not.
Didn't have a particular destination in P-Town, so I got off near the train station because I thought it looked nice.
The rooftop of Union Station.
The pedestrian bridge that goes over the train tracks.
Watching folks get off the train.
Benches at a tiny park near the train station.
Sculpture known as "The Little Prince" outside Moda Center, where the Portland Trail Blazers play.
Trees just outside Moda Center.
The factory near Steel Bridge.
Up close and personal with Steel Bridge.
The west side of the Williamette River.
Light rail trains passing each other while going over Steel Bridge.
A boat going under Burnside Bridge.
The walkway along the bottom part of Steel Bridge. Was a little worried it would open while walking on it.
Locks on the fence along the walkway.
So much graffiti on this sign that I don't even know what it originally said.
The city from the east bank of the Williamette.
A good view of Steel Bridge.
A runner along The Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade.
Posts on the path close to the water.
Someone drew a TARDIS on one of the posts along the esplanade.
Going over I-5 on Burnside.
I like this Mini ad with a Portlandia quote.
Here is an updated map of everywhere I've taken pictures in Portland, OR. Pretty good coverage, but still lots to capture. Still need to pay attention to the east side more, but the west side is where all the action is at. I like to think of the west side is the place to do things, while the east side is where you find the good food.
It was a good birthday as walking around aimlessly taking photos is just so pleasurable to me. To see more of my shots, view the full set.
