Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2014:
#10 Jupiter Ascending - Pushed back from July 18, 2014 to February 6, 2015 due to additional time needed to complete special effects. Not the best month for movie releases either, so perhaps Warner Bros. smells a dud here.
#9 Sin City: A Dame to Kill For - I did not see it, but I heard that it wasn't very good.
#8 X-Men: Days of Future Past - Didn't see it, but I heard great things. Was even on some people's top list.
#7 How to Train Your Dragon 2 - I enjoyed this movie, but not a whole lot.
#6 Noah - Didn't see it. Heard okay things about it.
#5 Dumb and Dumber To - I watched the first 45 minutes and I laughed hard once. Very weird to watch these two play these characters again.
#4 Big Hero 6 - Loved it. #10 on my top movies of 2014 list.
#3 Inherent Vice - Still need to see this, but really looking forward to it.
#2 The Grand Budapest Hotel - Can you believe that I didn't see it? I'm sorry folks. Heard really, really good things though.
#1 Interstellar - Wasn't my favorite film of the year, but was certainly up there. #8 on my top list.
Top 10 Most Anticipated Indie Movies of 2014
#10 I, Origins - My #2 favorite film of 2014. Loved it way more than I had anticipated.
#9 The Raid 2: Berandal - Brutal. Intense. Awesome. Very fun flick for martial arts fans. #16 on my top list.
#8 Breathe In - Didn't get around to it, but those I trust say it's good.
#7 Listen Up Philip - I did not get to see it, but I heard only okay things about it.
#6 Birdman - Really enjoyed this one and I'm sure it will see some Oscar nominations. #4 on my top list.
#5 Calvary - Another good film from Michael McDonaugh.
#4 The Skeleton Twins - Not quite as good as I had hoped, but made #14 on my list.
#3 Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter - Haven't seen it, but I still really want to. Supposed to get a limited release in March. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, currently.
#2 Whiplash - My #2 most anticipated became my #1 of the entire year. Whiplash is an amazing film!
#1 Boyhood - I wanted to love this movie so much, but I was quite bored with it. Other than the technical aspect behind the production, there's not much going on here.
So there you have it. My most anticipated lists for 2015 will be out soon.
